Transit Development Plan

Greater Glens Falls Transit (GGFT) and A/GFTC hired Nelson/Nygaard Consulting Associates to create a new Transit Development Plan (TDP) for the Glens Falls region. Nelson/Nygaard worked with GGFT and A/GFTC to understand the perspectives, experiences and needs of the existing GGFT passengers as well as residents not currently using GGFT services.

The current transit service and route structure was examined and public input was solicited through surveying passengers and mailing surveys to targeted communities. A public forum was then held in March to review proposed changes to the transit service. The result is a five-year plan with various recommended service improvements to GGFT based on funding availability. The TDP can be found here.
